Mission Fitness & Apparel

It's always an honor to be involved with new start-ups. The energy and vision are always so inspiring. Many times the look and feel are a blank canvas that clients are looking to create. Mission Fitness and Apparel is an apparel line launched by two young entrepreneurs- Rachel Weatherly and Kassie Payne. The company has an online store where they sell workout clothing but they also have another mission.

They choose a non-profit organization each quarter and design a shirt to support that cause. A portion of the money from the sale of those shirts is then donated. This shoot is the first of hopefully many for MF&A.

First, we wanted to get some nice shots of Rachel and Kassie. Since they are great friends, it was easy to allow them to just be themselves and shoot it as it unfolded.

Then came the mission shoot. This quarter, the ladies are honoring our armed forces by creating a separate shirt for each of the four branches. Their focus organization is Fisher House Foundation. The Fisher House Foundation is best known for a network of comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment. Since the shoot was military specific, we chose a location where we could photograph our models (who served in the military) working out, shouldering some sweet weapons and most importantly, showing off the new shirt designs.

We all had a great time, the day was absolutely beautiful and we were able to capture the initial shots to launch a great idea. The new line of shirts will be out soon. Please visit MissionApparel.net and check out their gear. If you like it, please support them by making a purchase. Special thanks to the Barron family for being gracious hosts and allowing us to photograph on their 13 acre farm. Cheers!
